South Bend 530289 6 ft. Proton Spincast Telescopic Rod

I bought this item at the beginning of the summer of 2017. I have used it multiple times and I love it! The eyelets allow for smooth movement of the line on the rod. I had a zebco rod from walmart before and it would always snap the line on the tip of the rod. Never had a snap with this rod (knock on wood). As has been said by other review the second eyelet from the tip does swivel around because it is on the same telescopic piece as the tip. That is why I give it a 4/5 because it is kind of annoying but it stays put once you push it down and apply pressure. Works fine after that. It’s a great size and really casts lures out quite far! I was very impressed. It’s a great medium rod and I have caught lots of pike in the local lakes here and I look forward to taking it out for trout in the summer! Love the cork handle! Overall a very good rod! Perfect for beginners and amateur fisherman such as myself haha.
